Remember the old days? When the thing to do on a Friday night was to cruise Main Street? It was especially fun if you had a cool car, wasn’t it? If you didn’t though, you still watched everyone else. It was the place to be and be seen! You can relive those memories on 8th Street in downtown Holland.

The Holland Vintage Car Club is planning the annual “Remember When” Cruise & Car Show in Downtown Holland. “Remember When” begins with a car show at 5 pm at the old Maycroft Versendaal Lincoln-Mercury dealership at 124 E. 8th Street. Of course, a DJ will be playing oldies so a few dances could break out and there will be tons of cars from every era to walk around and admire. The final highlight of the evening, the Remember When Cruise, will begin at 9 pm. Traffic will even run two ways on 8th Street during the cruise -just like in the old days. Bring your camera, your family, and your lawn chair, and line 8th Street to watch the fun!

Or, bring your vintage car and park it at the show! Registration for show cars is $10 and begins at 5 pm. Goodie bags and dash plaques will be given to the first 150 show registrants.

The Vintage Car Club of Holland is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1973 and is dedicated to ‘having fun while preserving vehicles and the old car hobby.’ Their roster includes cars from every decade from 1900-2000. ‘Any year, any model, any condition.’ As they say, The Vintage Car Club of Holland has been ‘Driving History for 40 Years!’

Join us in downtown Holland for our 47th annual car show! The show takes place at the old Lincoln/Mercury dealership at 124 E. 8th Street. The show is at 5 pm. Cruise at 8 pm.

Open to all antique, classic, custom, & hot rod vehicles. YES, 2023 Cruise on 8th St just like the good old days in downtown Holland.

Just remember… There will be NO BURN-OUTS during the cruise or car show! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Please Remember…

We will be abiding by all laws & rules of the City of Holland

  • Alcohol is prohibited
  • You must obey all traffic laws during the show
  • Stop signs, stop lights, speed limits, absolutely NO BURNOUTS OR TIRE SPINNING

We want to be welcome downtown again next year! Only registered vehicles for the car show will be allowed on the cruise

  1. We went to this last year and they don’t give out any trophies but, you have to still pay $10 for you to park your car there. The only good thing is that you can cruise 8th street at the end of the show. People line up downtown 8th street to see all of the cars. If that is something that you want to do then this is the show for you.

  2. We arrived early about 4pm and the parking lot was full. We almost didn’t find a place to park. They charge you $10 to park in a public parking lot and they don’t give out awards or anything but take your money and it does not go to any charity and goes in their pocket. We don’t agree with that and for what? We walked to the Curraugh Irish Pub and had dinner and walked around for a while. The weather was very hot!! Later we cruise 8th street and went around 2 times and then went home.
