1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 at SEMA 2013

SEMA 2013 may have wrapped-up, but we’re still getting over all the awesome Camaros we saw throughout the week. One F-body that really stood-out was this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 built by Unlimited Fabrication and Pomona Valley Customs. The Camaro is owned by Arthur Shapiro, and boy is he lucky. Read below, we’ve scrounged together all the specs for this car.

Squeezed between the frame rails is a Custom Built Motors (CBM), 415 cubic inch stoker. The engine is also topped with a set of CNC ported LS3 heads with stainless steel valves, stuffed with a COMP Cams custom grind cam, and swings a forged rotating assembly. Tom Face made the exhaust, which takes the fumes toward the rear. All said and done, this combination is good for 640hp. Backing it all up is a TREMEC T-57, 6-speed transmission with a MCLeod dual-disc clutch. Keeping everything at operating temperature is a CBR radiator.

The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is riding on a Total Cost Involved (TCI) suspension. The TCI setup includes a front and rear clip, drive shaft, rear end, steering, and brakes. Detroit Speed (DSE) supplied the rear wheel tubs, which hide a set of fat rear tires. The car rolls on Bonspeed wheels.

Inside, the car has a Vintage Air system to keep the passengers  happy on hot days. JS Fabrication did all the wiring in the Camaro. Elegance Interiors wrapped the seats, carpeted the floor, and made the headliner.

The outside of the car features Eddie Marine custom billet trunk hinges and interior plates. Fessler tail lights, marker lights, front fog lights, and door handles keep the car looking sleek. The car is dripping with a coat of Candy Pearl Blue sprayed-on by L & G Automotive.

We spent every day last week in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the SEMA show. It was our goal to report on the latest equipment and report on all the best Chevys we saw. We hope you liked this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 half as much as we did. It truly has some excellent attention to detail, which we strongly appreciate.
