Chevrolet has finally revealed all details for both the Camaro ZL1, and the track-bred 1LE.
2017 ZL1 is the most powerful production Camaro ever and comes with equipped with supercharged LT4 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers 650-horsepower (485 kW). It sprints to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, return to a halt in 107 feet (32 meters) and will pass the quarter-mile pole at 127 mph after 11.4 seconds. Customers can choose between a new 10-speed automatic and a six-speed manual gearbox. The new ZL1 is also 220 pounds lighter than the previous version.
Customers who want more performance equipment can opt for the new 1LE package. It features SS’ suspension, a limited slip differential, upgraded cooling, four-piston Brembo calipers at the front, and 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The 2017 Chevy Camaro LT 1LE will hit 60 in 5.2 seconds, can pull 0.97 g in the corners and come to a standstill in 112 feet (34 meters). The SS 1LE reaches 60 in 4.2 seconds, while in the corners can pull 1.02 g and can stop in 107 feet (32 meters).
Both the 2017 Camaro ZL1 and the 1LE package goes on sale later this year. The ZL1 will be priced at $62,135 for coupe models and $69,135 for convertibles with included destination charge, but not tax, title and other dealer fees. The 1LE package is a $4,500 option for the V6 and $6,500 on the V8.
