The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most legendary American cars in existence, if not the most legendary. There’s no doubt that the Camaro is still an extremely popular car and, since its debut in 1966, has been one of very few that has kept a dedicated following yet, to this day, still has the power and classic feel that screams ‘Merica!
According to General Motors, the highly anticipated 2017 ZL1 will be making its way to the middle east, in addition to their current distribution. It will be taking its 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8, pushing 650 horsepower, and available in six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic across the pond. Its lightweight stiff structure along with its Magnetic Ride suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential will make for more of a track-ready feeling when compared to the luxury-style sport cars that are popular in the region.
As we all know, there is definitely a market for sports cars in the middle east, but will the most powerful Camaro yet have what it takes to compete? Abdallah Madhoun, GM Middle East Sales and Marketing Manager, thinks so. “The Camaro ZL1 is designed to excel at everything, delivering on design, dependability, quality and performance. The ZL1 is the track capable version of the award-winning sixth generation Camaro and can challenge the most advanced sports coupes in the world.”
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 will hit the middle east in the first half of 2017. We are sure it won’t be as popular as it is here in the U.S. but, do you think it will have what it takes to make it big?
