Below is a letter that we received from Harvest Stand Ministries on how the food drive went at our car show on July 27, 2019
Dear Camaro’s of Michigan,
Thank you so much for the donations from club members and those who attended the car show of food items to Harvest Stand Ministries. As you know, families and individuals in our community go without adequate food every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injury, illness, age, domestic violence, and divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the highest risk and they make up the largest number of individuals we serve.
Each month, over 50 families access our pantry to provide their households with food, hygiene items, and paper products. Meeting immediate, tangible needs allows us to build relationships and begin to address deeper issues. Because of Camaro’s of Michigan, we received 386 food items (442 lbs. of food), we will be able to help families and individuals in the Zeeland area to not only meet essential daily needs but to work toward a brighter future.
Thank you again for thinking of us and allowing us to be part of your event on Saturday. We had a great time meeting everyone and would love to do it again next year.
