The Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series brought a lot of action to Memphis International Raceway this past weekend. The series was held in conjunction with the Inaugural Comp Cams NMCA Memphis Homecoming. Below is the complete press release courtesy of ProMedia written by Mary Lendzion.

Drivers were dialed in and deadly for the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series’ 13th Annual LSX Shootout, which was held along with the Inaugural Comp Cams NMCA Memphis Homecoming, May 2-5 at Memphis International Raceway in Tennessee.

There was a sea of street machines of every shape and size at the Street Machine Nationals in Du Quoin, Illinois. If you want to see the most amazing Pro Street cars, this is the place to be. It’s where the movement gained its notoriety (and maybe its infamy) and is still alive, well, and highly represented at the event. Even though there are new builds introduced each year, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a modern car done Pro Street style as they did back in the day.

Last weekend wrapped up the 14th annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway. With nearly 900 vehicles on the property, enthusiasts filled the pits and participated in championship drag racing, streetcar challenges, and the car show. Designed for vehicles powered by the OEM-sealed Chevrolet Performance DR525 crate engine combined with a factory Chevrolet Performance sealed ECM and installation kit.

The refreshed Camaro brings the 1LE package to the Turbo 4 and the 10-speed automatic to the SS.

The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is here with a new grille, new front, and rear fascias and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The new coupe was revealed at an event in Las Vegas alongside other new vehicles from GM. The biggest news for the enthusiast is the addition of the 1LE performance option for the turbocharged I4 Camaro.

According to the “Godfather” of the F-Body Camaro, Mr. Scott Settlemire, GM is currently working on the next two generations of the Camaro, meaning that by the time the seventh-generation pony car is launched three or four years from now, the eighth-generation car could already be half-formed.

Texas Speed loaded up their fifth-gen Camaro and headed out to Houston Raceway Park with one goal in mind, and that was to break into the 8s. The naturally-aspirated Camaro was armed with a Texas Speed and Performance custom spec solid roller cam, PRC 265cc small bore LS7 heads, and a Holley Performance Products Hi-Ram intake manifold. Tulip Time parade for this year was cold, breezy and raining. it sprinkle enough to get our Camaro’s dirty. Then it rained again after the parade was done.
