Last weekend wrapped up the 14th annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway. With nearly 900 vehicles on the property, enthusiasts filled the pits and participated in championship drag racing, streetcar challenges, and the car show. Texas Speed loaded up their fifth-gen Camaro and headed out to Houston Raceway Park with one goal in mind, and that was to break into the 8s. The naturally-aspirated Camaro was armed with a Texas Speed and Performance custom spec solid roller cam, PRC 265cc small bore LS7 heads, and a Holley Performance Products Hi-Ram intake manifold.
